AGM is the choice for inside as you've found. But Battery Tender is your
friend: http://batterytender.com/battery-tender-plus-12v-at-1-25a.html
You might consider an RV 'converter' for the heavy charge and the Battery
Tender to keep things properly charged. Not terribly expensive, RF quiet
and it can be neatly rack mounted.
