You'll just take the RCA keying cable that's currently plugged into
your KPA500 and move it to the "guzinta" on the KAT500, and run
another cable from the "guzouta" to the KPA500.

That's correct... or, if you have an existing RS232 port on your
computer, and prefer to use that instead of USB, you can request a
KXSER instead of the KXUSB.
