Hi Bernie,
You might have to trim the antenna wire a bit so that the autotuners
will load it up on all bands, and maybe add one or two extra wires on
the ground side. After that you should have yourself a very good,
compact antenna.
I worked Seychelles on my KX-1 on batteries (2 watts) on 20m years ago
with a 24 ft wire and two 8-foot radials that were stretched actoss my
2nd floor bedroom floor. The antenna wire ran out to a tree outside my
window.
