Hi Don,

Thanks for your answer. The output of the 8V voltage regulator is just
perfect (for a 10% device) - 7.98V. I was wondering why I get 500mV
voltage drop across Q1 & Q2, but if you say that's OK, then I'm fine.

Slightly offtopic - I had also another failure of 2N7000 - again in Control Board,
but this time Q5 (sidetone generation). I again made the temporary fix with
BJT+33k resistor, until I order a batch of 2N7000s. Next time I mount those
picky MOSFETs, I'll try to put a tiny bare wire across all the pins for temp
protection...
