[Elecraft] [OT] A question for Elecraft

The problem, in a nutshell, is that through-hole components are becoming
increasingly hard to find. It is for that reason that I am presently
looking for, and purchasing, through-hole components in bulk for that
soon to come day when they are effectively no more. Fortunately,
they are cheap right now, if you are careful what you buy. For
example. 2N3904 transistors are about 2.5 cents each if you buy them a
thousand at a time. (thats $25 per 1000). and 1N4007 diodes are 1.5
cents each in similar quantities. I have my own list of about 10
different parts that will answer something like 90% of all ham radio
and experimenter type applications.
What I am looking for is a source of small PCBs that can be used to
adapt some of the surface-mount parts to through-hole circuitry. Does
anyone know of a source for such a thing? For example,. where I can
mount a SOT-4 type package on the PCB,. and then extend wire leads from
the PCB to a conventional circuit. This would re-open the world of
dual-gate MOSFET parts that have disappeared altogether in through-hole
form, but are available in quantity as surface-mount parts. . (example:
the 40673 dual-gate MOSFET that was popular in so many older designs)
Just my 2 cents worth
