[Elecraft] K3/KX3 Operating Tip: APF (audio peaking, filter) for weak-signal CW work

I do not understand how assigning APF to a PF button makes things any 
easier. From what I have seen in the comments, the "problem" is that it 
is a button Hold problem.  PF1 and PF2 are button hold functions - why 
not just hold the Dual PB button and use it "as-is"? Some of the "cures" 
presented here boggle my mind.
