[Elecraft] KX3 orders

Well first off, make sure you are comparing apples to apples and oranges to
oranges in your research. There are 2 lists, built and kit. And I don't
know which list is longer. The built rigs started shipping first as there
are fewer packaging steps in shipping a built rig as well as the issue of
the assembly manual had not been completed at the time the first built rigs
shipped. As for "staffing up" you have to realize that even though Elecraft
has a big reach, they are not what you would call a huge outfit. Going out
and hiring and training a temporary staff to assemble a slew of radios in
the shortest time possible would detract from their on going operation,
besides the quality control that would be sacrificed by doing it that way.
I didn't order my kit until sometime in April, so I know I will be waiting
all summer. Quality takes time, I can wait.
