[Elecraft] Using Aether on a Mac to control K2

I'm about to venture into this but don't know what to expect. How does the program interact with the K2 and what is the process/input during a QSO? Is it all worth it?

I have the kit and the USB cable from Elecraft, and I'm about to build the critter.
