That’s interesting.  I have one that went over the original knob and then
the weighted know and it fits tight and perfect.  Love it....

I don't know if there are differences on the main tuning knob but I bought
the Ten-Tec ring and could never make it fit well or look nice.

It was too big to fit over the K3 knob with the existing ring removed and
because it has a lip inside it wouldn't fit correctly with the original ring
installed.

I wound up giving it to another K3 owner and he didn't care for it either.
