[Elecraft] [K3] Ease of installing modules at a later date

Since the receivers are entirely separate, you will need the general
coverage bandpass filter for each one if you want to SWL with both.

What people object to most often is removing the KRX3 sub-receiver module to
access the main rx board components underneath - specifically the roofing
filters and the general coverage filter board.

Nonetheless, I've seen few complaints that adding anything to the K3 is
"difficult". Instead, doing the change might be a bit time-consuming as, for
example, if you have to pull the KRX3 or K144XV modules to get to something,
then put everything back.

I believe that if you allow a full hour to install something, you can do
just about anything you need to do in the K3 and have it all buttoned up
again. Of course, some will take only a small fraction of that time.

I think I may have asked before about the need to match the filters in the
sub-receiver with the main receiver, so please forgive the redundancy.

Slightly different question: How difficult is it to install the
general-coverage bandpass filter and second receiver after the K3 is
assembled?

I was going to order the sub-receiver and the appropriate filters, but
decided to put that on the back burner until I get more comfortable with
operating the K3.
However, I am considering the bandpass filter so that I will have general
coverage.

Any advice appreciated,
