Thanks for the replies so far. However none tell me anything new...
There seems two ways to sync K3 and software (NaP3 in this case):-
1/ Set Global Offset to zero and and the SDR LO frequency to what it
actually is, ~8192 Khz
2/ What you all seem to do is set SDR LO frequency to the K3 IF centre,
~8215 Khz and then fiddle about with the Global Offset to get the radio and
software to sync.
Yes, I can do either but in both cases the SDR LO=0Hz centre point will be
offset from the tuned signal by approx 23 Khz. This means that if the tuned
signal is centred, the extreme ~23 Khz of the side opposite the SDR Local
Oscillator will be in the alias region.
Try injecting a signal and tuning it across the display toward this region.
As it crosses this point it dies away to be replaced I assume by an alias
coming in from the opposite side (which is not visible). If the display was
chopped off here as in Rocky, or indicated by a change in background colour
that would be better.
As I said earlier I think this is no more than a niggle in an excellent
program but I feel my earlier post didn't get the message across...
