[Elecraft] K1 rear screws

I have the battery option installed which comes with a different cover 
that utilizes two rear screws to remove the cover to attend battery pack.

I have just noticed that the screws themselves have exhibited some rust 
and is discoloring the cover.

Has anyone experienced this?

No, I have never expose the rig to dampness and/or rainy wx, nor do I 
live anywhere near salt water.
