[Elecraft] K3 toroid windings

Back in "ancient" times when radio receivers were filled with L/C filters
with adjustable trimmer caps to align all of the stages, it wasn't uncommon
for some people to dig into their radio to try to fix it themselves. When
the failed they'd bring it into the repair shop where often they'd mention
that all of those "little screws" were loose so they tightened them, but it
didn't help. 

Those screws were, of course, the carefully adjusted trimmer capacitors.
