Amen to that, Ron - the right tool for the job!

I don't know if you poor disadvantaged 'mericans have access to these, but
my far-and-away favourite for Elecraft assembly is a Picquic multibit
screwdriver, made in Canada (we don't make much these days either).

It's made in various models, each with a couple of different sizes of
straight, Philips, and Robertson (square). ('straight' screws/bolts are
impossible to find in hardware stores these days - Robertson is the
Canadian standard, with Philips in second place.) Just a little screwdriver
history for you :-)

The Philips #1 fits the Elecraft screws perfectly, and the bit, held in
place by magnetic force, is easily removed for fast twiddling by hand.

They are available in colours, too - my big manly ones are black or orange,
and I even have a girly pink one for those teeny-weeny screws. Pick a
bright coloured one, more easily found in the dim light under the
workbench, or in the weeds under the beam.
