[Elecraft] K3 RF Feedback

Started getting RF feedback on 40m. 

Found that by moving the microphone socket on the K3's front panel I could make the problem come and go.

Suspecting a shield earth problem I made a solder connection between the loop of tinned copper wire
and the socket metal shield. For extra security I soldered a length of small copper braid between the shield
and the GND via on the PCB.

Not only has this got rid of the RF feedback, but the mic connector no longer rotates to bug the heck out of me !
