[Elecraft] K3 pwr cycles back on???

Tom,

I just had the same problem here and it turned out to be the Digital I/O 
board (the one with the RS232 & ACC connectors). If you follow the 
troubleshooting section in the K3 manual, it has you disconnect 
everything but power to the K3, then remove the Digital I/O board, the 
KIO3 board and then the KPA3 board while checking after each removal to 
see if it powers off normally.

I got lucky and found my problem as soon as I removed the Digital I/O 
board. I had a very early version of that board and fried it while doing 
the TX Gain Calibration test and popping a fuse on my power cable with 
the RS232 port still hooked up to my laptop.

Dale pointed me to the REMIOUPGD option ($20 USD) on the mods page of 
the Elecraft site. I received the board in a couple of days and all is 
back to normal (whatever that is ;-) ).
