I run my KPA500 with all the lights lit on RTTY in contests, and with 
FSK441,  ISCAT, and JT65 on VHF and HF.  This gives me 540W out on 6M 
and 650-675W on the HF bands.  It gets hot enough that the fan speeds up 
at the end of a 30 sec FSK transmission, but I rarely see that on HF 
with RTTY.
