[Elecraft] K3 SPLIT+2

You don't need a macro in N1MM, Stewart. The feature is already there.
In N1MM, type ALT+F7 and it will open a window where you enter the kHz
offset from the low end band edge. For example on 40m if a DX station says
he's listening on 7234, type ALT+F7 then type 234 in the window. Hit ENTER
and the K3's VFO B is put on 7234 and the K3 is put in the SPLIT mode.
Hitting Alt+F7 again and hitting Enter with the window empty clears the
split and puts everything back on VFO A.
Simple and efficient. No diddling with the K3's buttons. And it works for
any split, 2kHz or 200kHz, doesn't matter, just type it in.

I must set up a macro in N1MM for SPLIT. The number of times
instead of holding the button to select or cancel SPLIT I just pressed
it and made VFO B = VFO A.... !! GRRRR !!
It's the only something I really HATE about my K3.
Why not use the NOR/REV button hold instead ?

Grumpy, because I am tired after 42 hours operating in CQWW !
