Actually,
I can see some merit in the OP's request.
What if you are (heaven forbid) using the KPA500 with another brand radio?
Or, what if you want to monitor power out on transmit but monitor the amplifiers temp on receive. (Or any other combination of available data from the amp.)

Like I said, I think that the idea has merit,
