There is a dedicated fldigi reflector on Yahoo (linuxham at yahoogroups.com) which is a good place to ask questions regarding this software (Linux, OS X and Windows are supported).

I think there were three that stood out as being top performers. I personally use MacLoggerDX, and it does everything I need it to do. It's a great general purpose logger. If I were heavier into DX, RUMLog or something like that may be a better choice. Again, scan back in this reflector's archives a bit and you will see a lot of discussion about this.

Installation was straightforward and has worked for me flawlessly. TIP: If I recall correctly, I think I had to reboot the Mac after installing the driver in order to get the unix device to create and initialize properly.

Not sure what virtualization you are using, but in my case, I can tell VMware which of my XP VM or my Mac to present the USB device to, and that governs which set of drivers and thus which machine has control of the Keyspan. I tend to set this at start up and not switch back and forth live, so if you intend to do that, in theory that should work, but I have no direct experience with it.
