[Elecraft] Mac logging programs?

I can't say enough good things about RUMLog/RUMped. Tom (DL2RUM) is very
active in supporting his software. He has added great support for Fldigi
into RUMLog, such as auto-import of logs from Fldigi and tracking of
frequency/mode from Fldigi. This was done literally in a few day's of work
by Tom, and was something that Don (MacLoggerDX) didn't even want to touch
since Fldigi wasn't a pure OS X product. Also, Tom owns a K3, so support
for the K3 is superb in his software
I've found that RUMlog suits me and my operating the best. While
MacLoggerDX may be prettier, I like the clean simplicity of RUMlog.
HOWEVER, that clean simplicity hides a LOT of power...RUMlog is flexible and
has a lot of features. Besides Fldigi, RUMlog also supports working with
cocoaModem, has support for the microKeyer II, and has better award/QSL
tracking than MacLoggerDX.
Ultimately, the best Mac logging software is whichever one does what you
want it to do. A good balance between RUMlog and MacLoggerDX may be Aether,
which has a very nice interface and does some good award/QSL tracking at a
price that is fairly reasonable (apx $40, if I recall correctly and
available via the App Store). However, I've seen some ADIF import issues
with Aether (improper tracking of LoTW/eQSL/Paper QSL on import).
Ultimately, there is a lot of great software out there for the ham using a
Mac. Try them all and you'll find one that you like.
