[Elecraft] Remote control of a K3?

Hi,
Has anyone set up their K3 to be used remotely with HRD?  Does it work well
with a laptops speakers and mike?
What type of cables do I need for the connection of the sound card (I
presume it is mono in)?  Or is it stereo cables?
