[Elecraft] KPA500 problems

Phil,

As a THP dealer, I am very concerned about your comment:

"Just think if you had bought a THP or Ameritron Amp and had to deal with
problems".

I am only aware of THP going out of their way to assist their customers as
much as possible through their dealers and through their paid
dealer-independent technical support staff here in the USA.

Granted, one of the dealers of THP is not known for hallmark customer
service, but the other one (mine) has taken care of customers of both
dealers in all cases in a way that is generally on par with what you and we
all expect from Elecraft and other reputable manufacturers/dealers. So, if
you have a beef with THP, I would like to hear about the facts.

As in this case, Elecraft should be notified of the problem and given the
opportunity to correct it. I see in subsequent emails they have responded
and will do whatever is necessary to correct this error.

That all said, we are all human and make mistakes sometimes. It seems that
ham radio manufacturers and dealers are consistently held to a much higher
standard than humanly possible.

Mike,

Sorry for your bad experience. But, aren't you glad that you are dealing
with
Elecraft who will do a good job of responding to your problems. Just think
if
you had bought a THP or Ameritron Amp and had to deal with problems.

Hope to hear about the ultimate problem and fix.

I do think that Friday the 13th possibly
marked you with bad karma.
