[Elecraft] 70 MHz on K3

I'm sure demand will rise, in PA0 we'll get access end of this year.
No Icom/Kenwood on the market, you can modify an old Yaesu 847 with mediocre
results.
The fun on 70 MHz for me is sporadic-E propagation. I would like to be able
to work E-skip on 70 MHz until the MUF goes up to 144 MHz, so an extra trv
would be necessary, I'ld never sacrifice the 144 MHz transverter.
It would make K3 stand out from the crowd even more as it already does now.

Agreed, the demand is not likely to be huge. But there is a growing list of
Countries with access to 4m.
Would the existing XV50 transverter lend itself to conversion without a
major re-think ? 25w would be better than 10w.

It would require a transverter, such as the K144XV. What I don't know
is whether there would be much demand for a 10-watt 70 MHz
transverter, especially given that it would occupy the same location
as the K144XV. Another possibility is a dual-band transverter.
I can't make any predictions on this right now.
