Good Evening,
The twenty meter net went fairly well with some QSB but little noise.
Check ins were from the Middle West, Texas, Alaska, Colorado, and
California. Forty meters was noisy with not much activity. I hit my
recorded CQ a few times when the stations grew quite sparse but only got
four check ins, all from the West. I did have some help on the first net
with a relay into California from N0AR. Thanks Scott!
Weather was pleasant today if a little chilly. Spring is very slowly
coming to the PNW. I have heard it was nice in the valleys but up here it
got to 62 degrees which felt pretty good. There is still snow on the
surrounding mountains. Maybe in the next few weeks that will disappear.
More flowers were open when I went on my walk but in the next week or two
they will explode into bloom all over the mountain. Red currants are just
getting started.

There were reports of snow in Minnesota and North Dakota. Colorado was
not warm either. California gave a temperature reading of 80 degrees
though. I wonder what it is like in Texas? Last I heard it was downright
hot there with high winds. I did get a report of wind from Jeff but he
did not complain of heat though there was a lot of QSB between us.
Hopefully the weather will calm down and warm up a little. Summer will be
good this year I am sure of it. I plan a greenhouse so I can extend my
growing season to the point where I can grow a garden.
Until next week stay well,
73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
