[Elecraft] Earthquake in Japan

8.9 is very serious and Alaskans have experience with earthquake so 
take particular notice.

Reports of the tsunami were that it produced five foot swell along 
the Aleutian Islands and only about a foot along the Gulf Coast of 
AK.  No reports of damage.  The AK-Pacific Net that meets on 14.292 
daily at 1730z was set up expressly for providing emergency comms to Alaska.

Our hearts and prayers go to the Japanese in this disaster.

And our news is focused on Hawaii and California, but in addition, 
how are all our friends in Alaska? It is closer to the quake center.....?????
