Hi all,

I've been using HRD to interface to my K2 and, for the most part, I'm very
happy with it. I use DM780, the logbook and have controlled the K2 over the
internet in conjunction with IP-Sound. I get the general feeling, however,
that (understandably) current development is focused more on the K3 than the
K2. The requested donation amount for HRD is a downright bargain.

Recently, I built an LP-PAN and have been experimenting using the K2 with
PowerSDR/IF. Through N8LP's informative site, I've learned about TRX-Pan
along with TRX-Manager and N4PY's control software. Looking forward to
trying CW Skimmer and a K2-version LP-Bridge once it becomes available.

I'm curious what the pros and cons of these 3 control software suites are in
relation to the K2. Is one better suited for a specific task than the
others? It's hard to get objective opinions on eham and thus far I have not
seen a direct comparison anywhere on the internet. I very curious to try
out the K2/LP-PAN/TRX-Manager/TRX-Pan setup.
