[Elecraft] KPA-500 vs others

Guess this has wandered off topic yet again....:-)
II have been using the KPA-500 for 3 months I guess and I don't miss the
boat anchor amplifier anymore.
Before ya'all race out and buy 1500W amplifiers, improve your antennas
please because in VK we hear you now, but you have not got 'your ears
on'...:-)...Grin
40M is a fine example of US stations having good antenna systems and making
the trip to VK without resorting to 1500W....I have worked several running
200W but using a nice Yagi at 70 feet.
Oh well, the argument/debate will drag on for eternity I am sure.........
