[Elecraft] p3 beta upgrade

As I have already told Alan N1AL directly, I think this new alpha is
brilliant. Yes, it would be nice to have control over the palette but that
will surely come with time, and perhaps via an expanded P3 utility program.
I would also like to see (optional) control of the menu from the P3 utility
as I am forever pushing buttons in the wrong order and wiping out what I
have set the function buttons to! Nothing however, should detract from the
principle that the P3 is intrinsically computer independent.
What I like best in 1.08 is the red tx marker which appears as soon as split
(or RIT/XIT) is implemented without having to command the P3 to display
VFOb. That, in itself, is enough to make me delay the purchase of the
second RX (and the KX3 has something to do with that decision too!).
Once the VGA output is there in hardware, the display will, I think, be
awesome. I would hope to see those holes in the back panel begin to fill
sometime soon!
