Good Evening,
Last week I was unable to get home in time to run either net. Errands
kept me in town much too late. I am sorry I was unable to run them.
However, this week I shall not leave my property the entire weekend so I
will be on tomorrow.
After two days of heat in the low 70s the weather has turned back to
chilly again. This week the highs have been in the high 50s. Not since
last Sunday has the thermometer broken 60 degrees. The 70 degree heat
wave did feel good even though it brought out the biting flies. It was
nice to walk around without a jacket. Luckily I still have a lot of wood
for the stove. Some neighbors have run out of wood because they were not
planning for such a long heating season. I read stories about folks
having 80 degree weather or hotter but it is hard to imagine when I am
still hauling wood to heat the house.
The sun has been very active lately but only the higher bands have seen
propagation improvements. Anything lower than 15 meters seems to be tough
going. I need to hook my 6 meter loop back to the rig and go play there.
The openings have been popping up daily.
If anyone is interested in acting as a relay station on either net
please email me. I will turn the net over to you for a few minutes so you
can call areas in my skip zone. It sure would prove helpful to those I
cannot reach directly.
Please join us tomorrow afternoon and evening.
1) Hail signs (first letter or two of the suffix of your call)
2) NCS help (as well as QSP/QNP <relay> help)
Sunday 2200z (Sunday 3 PM PDT) 14050 kHz
Monday 0000z (Sunday 5 PM PDT) 7045 kHz
Stay well,
Kevin. KD5ONS
