[Elecraft] OT: soldering practice

Sparkfun.com has pcb 'rejects' available on their website. They are not
expensive and might get you started. Once some proficiency is established,
I'd strongly suggest switching to Elecraft's line of "Mini-Mods" as they are
easy to build, usually in an hour or two. And, you wind up with some really
useful 'toys' that work and will be useful in the shack.

And, when she has this experience under her belt, move on the a K2/10, the
ultimate builder's project.

Subject: [Elecraft] OT: soldering practice

Hi everyone,

1. Please reply off-list

2. I want to teach my daughter how to solder leaded components onto a
circuit board (to start).

3. Where can I get a cheap (really cheap?) source of boards to play on.
Obviously, they do not need to work, can be broken, etc.

Thanks,
Doug KR2Q
