I can't get sound to work using Ubuntu 8.10.  It worked when Ubuntu was
first installed, but the audio quit working after one of the automatic
updates not long afterwards.  It's not a hardware problem because it's a
dual-boot machine and the sound works fine under Windows XP.

Any ideas?
