Good Evening,
Propagation was better this weekend. There was a contest to avoid on
twenty meters but I got a number of folks checked in there. Some QSB to
fight but mostly lots of rabid contesters. On forty meters I had one op
with a new 500 watt amp from Elecraft. Woo it was loud! I kept copying
his call as AE6II but Dale disabused me of this notion. Must have been an
artifact of my eardrums touching :) Phil was quite loud too. He gave a
report of 85 degrees at the beach. Up here it was a little cooler at 77
but even now it feels sticky. I had a towel under my arm while running
both nets and need another one here to type. But the sticky weather will
not last long. Tomorrow we are due for another spate of 50 degree
temperatures and rain. We are getting summer in short day or two doses
this year.

By the way, I moved Dave, W8OV, back to Texas where he belongs. Him
living in California was just not right :) Hopefully I will not get too
much more rain so I can get out in the forest. Time is a wasting, winter
is almost upon us. At least so say the foxgloves. Now it is off to the
cutting and splitting area for me. I will cease being so lazy and get to
work at something other than a keyboard.
Stay well, and cool for you folks in the sauna we call the Midwest,
       73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
