[Elecraft] [K3] losing FP buttons, one or two at a time

My beloved K3 #1544 has developed a disturbing malady, the front panel 
buttons seem to be dying off.  Each time I try to use the rig another 
one or two have bitten the dust.  Switch test mode confirms they are no 
longer being read by the radio.

Anyone seen this before?  Waiting now on a price from support...
