May I offer two excellent headphone choices at two different price
levels. The Sennheiser HD280PRO (approx $100) is (IMHO) a superb value
for the money and very comfortable. For $189 (Sporty's Pilot Shop) you
can buy a David Clark H10S-DC ("listen only") headset. I can discern no
difference between the two in terms of comfort or audio level. Both
come with 1/8" stereo terminations and include 1/4" stereo/mono
adapters. The David Clark headset has higher "clamping pressure" but it
does not compromise comfort level as the gel pads are quite effective.
The extra $$ for the David Clark doesn't really buy any improved
performance - per se - but I've been using David Clark cans in my
airplanes since 1973 and I've never had one fail -- never.

Happy New Year,
