True, Jim, speaking of the voltage difference between key-up when the amp is
not doing anything and key-down when the amp is making RF, but that doesn't
affect the operation while making RF one bit.
(Actually I wrote the bit you attributed to Don, which is why I am
answering)

Because the KPA500 power supply is not regulated, the total regulation
will be a bit better running from a 240V source, assuming the same size
conductors for both circuits.
