Gary,

If you mean that the K3 AGC is too sensitive to a noise spike (I 
understand dropping gain = reducing gain) then switch on the AGC PLS  (= 
set it  to NOR) in the Config, or switch on the NB and experiment with 
the DSP and IF noiseblanking.
