[Elecraft] A Finger PTT switch for use with my Yamaha CM-500 headset?

Yep, I agree with Mike. Old 35mm photo film (remember them?) container with
radio shack switch installed on the lid. Prescription drug bottle works too.
I myself prefer the wander of technology called footswitch, being contester
I don't have luxury to occupy my hand with switch while not using my feet
for anything...

Jeff -

Sounds overly complex to me. Why not just plug the CM500 into the K3 and
wire a small
momentary switch to the PTT in jack?

so I'd like to wire up a finger PTT switch that works with my K3 and Yamaha
CM-500 headset. I have an existing finger PTT switch that was designed for
use with a Yaesu FT-11R HT. There are 3 stereo plugs wired to the finger
PTT switch apparatus:

this is even needed. Maybe all I need to do is continue to use the K3 in
VOX mode, but now the MIC will only activate when I close the switch AND
talk into the microphone?
