[Elecraft] K2 Hard Power Down/Power UP

Hi,

I currently have my K2 powered by an Alinco switching power supply.

Will it hurt the K2 to have it's power button always depressed ("on") and
turn the unit on and off by turning the power supply on and off (versus
using the K2's on/off button)?

My concern is that the switching power supply may not provided instantaneous
13.8 voltage, and was wondering if the "voltage ramp up" might be harmful to
the K2.

The reason I'd like to do this is that I have an A/C outlet that can be
remotely turned on and off through an ethernet connection. Therefore, I can
turn the power supply on and off remotely, which would allow me to turn the
K2 on and off remotely. Using the "Wake on LAN" feature on my computer, I
could theoretically have my entire station powered down and started up
remotely.

Thanks for any input.
