[Elecraft] P3 FNx key's - how to clear assigned function?

I know I have read the answer somewhere,
I know it's right here in front of me somewhere,
but I just spent the last 20 min looking for it........

On the P3, after having set a function to a key,
how do I change it back
to not having any function attached to that key?

I even tried 'reset on boot' and that didn't seem to do it??
maybe I did the reset wrong?
