There is no point to installing it on the synthesizer that's used for the subreceiver. 
This synth is never used for transmitting. The purpose of the plate is to keep vibrations 
from the internal speaker from causing a change in tx frequency.

It is known that sometimes changing the routing of the cables that go to the synths will 
affect the strength of birdies, so that may be why you noticed an improvement!
