That sounds about right.
"Make a difference" is a problematic understanding unless you are
talking before and after installing. Once installed in your K3 RX the
KBPF3 is invoked whenever you are listening on any frequency that
requires it. So A/B testing is hard, unless you have the K3 opened up
and are putting it in and taking it out making comparisons.
The ham bands have pass band filters in use, and reception gradually
diminishes tuning into the HF broadcast bands. Without the KBPF3,
this diminishment is gradually heard, but is not hugely noticeable,
say in the 40m commercial broadcast band, given the power levels some
stations are running. The AM BC band IS severely attenuated by the K3
through main ant jack(s) without the KBPF3 and RX and jumps up quite a
lot listening through the RX antenna and KBPF3.
