Enjoy the build.  Yes, the manual is quite good - my 14 year old 
grandson was able to complete a K2 build using only the instructions and 
a (very) few helps from "grandpa".

Enjoy the build, and you can be rightfully proud of the results.

I can offer one assist - the varactor characteristics have changed from 
the time the manual was written, so the variable filter settings for the 
SSB filters indicated in the manual are no longer valid - the more 
narrow CW settings are OK.  For instance, a filter width as indicated by 
the K2 display of 2.00 kHz may actually be 3 kHz or more.  The best 
solution to this "problem" is to use Spectrogram (or similar) to measure 
the actual passband width.  Refer to my website (www.w3fpr.com) article 
dealing with K2 Dial  Calibration for information about how the set up 
and use Spectrogram to set the K2 filters.
