microHAM do not supply an adapter from the 3.5mm mono mic plug
on the ProSet K2 to the RJ-45 jack. The only adapter is Foster
to RJ-45. What are you using between the 3.5mm plug and the
Foster?

That adapter is normally an AD-1"X" where "X" indicates the brand
of transceiver for which the adapter is wired. With the K2 or
K3 you *MUST* use the AD-1K (Kenwood) adapter.

If you have a standard Proset K2/K3, you need to connect the "IC"
pins or use a 3.5mm mono female to 2.5mm stereo male adapter
between the Proset mic plug and the EXT Mic jack of the MK II.
