Hams used to solve that problem with club stations. A group of Hams would
get together and rent or borrow space for the station (and all contribute
time, equipment and money to the station). It worked well in many companies
as well as private clubs. Some were elaborate, more were modest
installations but far better than the members could manage at home. And the
camaraderie is pure gold "Ham Radio" to most of us.

The final issue concerns antenna restrictions.  I live close in and I
struggle mightily with getting adequate antennas.  I would love to find a
way to bring my K3 to an ideal location where massive towers are possible,
and leave it there all the time.  Maybe I would visit it once in a while,
but certainly not daily or weekly, maybe once a month or so.
