[Elecraft] K2: Debugging low transmit power

  Brian,

Even though Owen's outward symptoms are similar to yours, the failure
point is likely quite different.
That is why Transmit Signal Tracing is important. There are 5 active
devices in the transmit chain as well as the bandpass and low pass
filters, and the oscillators (VFO and BFO) can cause low output as
well. The only way to know which one is the culprit is to move forward
with the transmit signal tracing. There is no one single answer, each
case is different.

Every solder connection and each toroid lead is a potential failure
point, not to mention those components that jump out of the correct
holes and end up in the wrong places just before soldering.
