[Elecraft] Elecraft CW Net Report for November 29th, 2010

Good Evening,
I could not find an open frequency to start the twenty meter net this
afternoon so I stayed off the air. The forty meter net started on time
due to the frequency being open. Whichever contest was on this weekend
had ceased operations. However, the band was not very strong. I could
barely hear some of you and know I missed some others from the email I
have received. Nine folks did get into this week's log.
Snow has come and gone and come back again. Luckily the ice on the
incline has mostly melted. The log trucks have pounded the gravel roads
recently so there is little gravel on the surface. It is mostly smooth
and muddy. That means there are no hummocks to grip on the way up or
down. Maybe the county will lay down some more gravel soon. The logging
company has to pay for the road's upkeep and now would be a very good time
to do it. More snow tomorrow. It has effected my SWR over the last few
days. Tonight I could only get the tuner to 1.3:1 where normally it will
tune the antenna to 1.0:1 Another five inches of wet snow tomorrow will
only make the antenna tougher to tune.

    On to the lists =>

   On 7045 kHz at 0100z:
NO8V - John - MI - K3 - 820
K1THP - Dave - CT - K2 - 3942
W0RSR - Mike - CO - K2 - 5767
W0CZ - Ken - ND - K3 - 457
W8OV - Dave - TX - K3 - 3139
K0DTJ - Brian - CA - K3 - 4113
N0TA - John - CO - K3 - 994
K3FBR - Joe - PA - K2 - 6178
N0AR - Scott - MN - K2 - 4866

I promise I will get last week's net report out soon. I had a power
outage last Sunday which disrupted my normal schedule. Then came the
heavy snow which increased my workload. Now things are getting back to
normal again so I will work on it soon. Hopefully you will all work off
the pounds you gained over the last few days from leftovers :) I know I
need to get outside and walk some more. Maybe reading the trail signs
over my twenty acres will get my heart rate up. It is rather hilly and
the deep snow and fallen timber make it an invigorating hike.
    Until next week stay well,
       73,
Kevin. KD5ONS (Net Control Operator 5th Class)
