Owen,
You have the procedure correct.
Yes, the caution about lifting one lead of T4 was if you want to
investigate the relay further.
Because of the ground at the secondary of T4, if the relay is set, you
will see zero ohms between all the pins except for the coil - that
should not surprise you.
