After reading WestMountain Radio's comments on the APP roll rings a few
years back, I began just snapping off toothpicks in the roll pin hole and
dropping a dab of CA (super glue) on the tooth pick.  I can still get the
toothpicks out if necessary (use a small drill bit) and they don't get into
places that they shouldn't.  Works well for me.
