Vidi,

I have my K2 and all other 12 volt shack equipment converted for APP 
connectors.
No, I do not mount the APP directly on the equipment - I make up a short 
adapter cable with the equipment's normal connector on one end and an 
APP on the other - mine are about 6 inches long.
